Pete the Cat and His four Groovy Buttons is a wonderful book to enhance repetition, vocabulary enrichment, identifying how Pete will feel,  counting, and color naming. Anticipation before turning the page is a HUGE part about this book, which enhances a child’s interest! (Example: “I WONDER  if he will be SAD?” or “LET’S SEE how many buttons will be left?”).
